Supporting and promoting quality of life for our clients and their primary carer/s within their home
environment, Community Care Packages enable us to provide domestic assistance, social support, personal care, meals and
transport assistance.

We also offer fee-for-service for home support.

Federal government funding through the National Respite for Carers Program has enabled Spiritus to
offer a new Cottage Respite Service at St Luke’s House, to provide 24 hour professional, planned and emergency respite care to regional, rural and remote carers and care recipients in the Darling Downs region.

The Respite Centre is available to people with special needs including:

• frail elderly people (including those visiting Toowoomba for medical and other appointments)
• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
• disabled people between 50 and 65 years of age
• the financially disadvantaged
• those suffering dementia.
