A Place to Belong is based in West End and provides for those who need support to return to a full community life after hospitalization, working to encourage a process of inclusion for people who experience mental health challenges.  This is done by developing and encouraging the capacity of the community to welcome and include others. 
 
Community Connection workers come alongside isolated people to find ways to link them with others, or find valued roles in the community.  There is also provision for those who feel isolated and need assistance to feel more connected with others.

Training meetings and group sessions are held to enable people to hear stories and learn about mental health.  At these sessions people who want to extend a hand in friendship and be welcoming to others are supported in doing so. Training and support is also offered to carers, allies, community-minded people and workers from other organisations.
