Alina - Nundah
The Spiritus Alina Families Program works alongside families where one or both parents have an intellectual or learning disability.
Alina can begin working with families when a child in the family is less than 12 months old.
If families live within a 25 minute drive from Nundah, Alina can offer family work support with whatever the family decides is important for them. Alina has a weekly playgroup for parents and their children. Parents learn about play, about how children use play to grow and learn, and about how to use play to strengthen family relationships. Alina also has a regular peer support group and occasional information groups for families to contribute to and participate in.
