Spiritus Mobile Acute Care (MAC) is a rapid response service offering in-hospital care in the home.

Treatment to clients occurs within 24 hours of referral on-call overnight, 7 days a week. MAC services are available to clients on both the Northside and Southside of Brisbane.

Spiritus Mobile Acute Care offers:

• Hospital avoidance strategies
• Case management and co-ordination:
• case conferencing prior to discharge
• ongoing conferencing through care continuum
• Post-discharge in-home assessment
• Management of central venous access devices and infusion delivery device pumps
• Medication administration including intravenous medications (IV Therapy)
• Palliative care
• Stoma care
• Complex wound care
• Personal care:
• personal hygiene support
• respite
• assistance with dressing
• meal preparation
• medication prompting
