Spiritus has announced from March 2012 we will change our name to Anglicare Southern Queensland.
The decision comes after extensive consultation with our staff, clients, funders, donors and the community.
We feel the name change more clearly describes the caring nature of our organisation and best reflects our role in the Anglican Church and the broader community.
While our name is changing, our commitment to empower the aged, disadvantaged and marginalised to live their lives in fullness remains the same.

Spiritus is an Anglican not-for-profit organisation providing caring and supportive services to the community.
We are a proud member of the Anglicare Australia network.
Spiritus brings together into one organisation the combined strengths and heritage of St Luke’s Nursing Service,
Anglicare Southern Queensland and Anglican Care of The Aged.
We deliver Community Care as far north as Townsville,
as far south as Coolangatta and across Queensland's South West, helping our clients maintain their independence and live a healthier
life in their own homes.
Our Social Services programs serve many different parts of the
community throughout Brisbane and Southeast Queensland. We work in collaboration with the communities which we live in, as well as with
community government agencies.
Spiritus offers fully accredited Residential Aged Care, with varying
accommodation and care services available, including low care, high care, respite and special care. We also offer
Independent Living opportunities from many of our residential
sites where we welcome new residents into a caring Christian community lifestyle.
Spiritus considers the provision of Spiritual and Pastoral Care Services an essential component of all services and facilities. As a caring ministry of the Anglican Church, Spiritus affirms that each person is created in the image of God, is unique, and is of infinite worth
